Washington State Athletics has entered into an agreement with ISP Sports that provides the company, America’s leader in the collegiate sports marketing industry, with numerous sales and marketing opportunities surrounding Cougar sporting events and venues.
ISP, which currently enjoys relationships with more than 60 college athletics partners, will manage corporate marketing opportunities involving hospitality events and on-site promotions at WSU football and basketball games as well as oversee sales for all signage at Martin Stadium, Friel Court at Beasley Coliseum and all Cougar competition sites.
The agreement, which begins with the upcoming 2008 football season, is for 10 years and includes state-of-the-art upgrades to existing stadium and arena scoreboards and other signage displays.
“I am ecstatic about this partnership with ISP Sports,” said WSU Director of Athletics Jim Sterk. “This agreement assists us in our mission to improve facilities and provide opportunities for Cougar student-athletes.
“The addition of the new scoreboard at Martin Stadium, concurrent with the completion of Phases I and II of the renovation, will enhance the gameday experience for our fans and epitomizes the growth of WSU Athletics,” Sterk continued.
The Cougar Radio Network will continue to be managed by KXLY Radio, while Fox Sports retains the regional television rights as part of previous agreements.
“We are pleased to add ISP Sports to a great team of partners that includes KXLY and FSN Northwest, who we have had a long relationship with,” Sterk added.
“We are delighted to be associated with a program that is building a position of national prominence,” ISP chairman and CEO Ben Sutton said. “We are confident that we can contribute to the continued growth of the athletic program that has done so well behind Jim Sterk’s leadership and the excellent coaches and administrative staff he has assembled.”
Pete Isakson, associate athletic director of external operations at WSU the past five years, will serve as general manager of the ISP sales and marketing team supporting the Cougars. Working with him in Pullman will be assistant general manager Scott Holt, while assistant general manager Dain Howell will work out of an ISP office in Seattle.
