BIG EAST ISP National Radio Network To Feature Seven Games, Conference Tournament
01.02.09
Georgetown and Notre Dame will tip off the BIG EAST ISP National Radio Network schedule this Monday (Jan. 5) when those two nationally ranked teams meet in South Bend at 7 p.m. (EST).
The network, now entering its second year, is produced and managed by ISP, the nation’s largest collegiate sports marketing company. This year’s list of featured games includes seven contests on Monday nights throughout the regular season. Eight different schools, all currently nationally ranked, will be involved in those matchups.
The BIG EAST ISP National Radio Network will additionally provide extensive coverage of the 2009 BIG EAST Basketball Tournament, beginning with broadcasts of all second round games and extending through the championship contest.
Andy Demetra of ISP will again handle play-by-play duties on the network, while former Villanova standout and All-BIG EAST performer John Celestand returns as color analyst.
The complete list of network affiliates is to be determined and will vary from week to week depending upon game times, previous station commitments and blackout restrictions protecting BIG EAST member school networks. The preliminary affiliate list has stations representing most of the country’s top radio markets, including Charlotte, Denver, Miami, Philadelphia, New York and Washington, DC. Most games will be carried on XM Radio as well.
