ISP Announces ACC Basketball National Radio Schedule
01.08.09
A clash between two of the country’s top-ranked teams will tip off the ACC ISP Sports Radio Network’s 2009 basketball schedule this Sunday (Jan 11) when third-ranked North Carolina (14-1) visits fourth-ranked Wake Forest (13-0) in an 8 p.m. contest that will be broadcast to a national audience.
Six additional games involving eight different conference schools, as well as the entire men’s and women’s basketball tournaments in March, will be carried on the ACC national network that is produced and managed by ISP, the country’s largest collegiate sports marketing company.
A growing list of more than 70 affiliates will be included on the network, providing coverage in most of the country’s top markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Houston and New York. The complete list of stations is determined on a game-by-game basis depending upon game times, previous station commitments and blackout restrictions protecting ACC member school networks.
XM Radio will also be a part of the network again this year and is scheduled to carry a majority of the regular season broadcasts along with the tournaments.
Veteran broadcaster Bill Rosinski will handle play-by-play of all regular season contests. Color analyst duties will be shared by Dave Odom, three-time ACC Coach of the Year at Wake Forest, and Wimp Sanderson, former head coach at Alabama.
This marks the third year that the ACC has provided a national radio package in conjunction with ISP, which is based in Winston-Salem, NC. The company is the multimedia rights holder for more than 50 major college athletic programs, including ACC members Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
